Booking Terms and Conditions

1) The property known as La Madeleine Cottage (the Property), is offered for holiday rental subject to the confirmation by Ian and Carol Knight, (the Owners), to the renter, (the Client). The Client is deemed to be acting on behalf of all members of the party and that they have read, understood and agreed all terms and conditions.

2) Reservations require an initial deposit 30% to be paid by Paypal unless otherwise agreed by the Owners. Cheques should be made payable to Ian Knight. Following receipt of the deposit the Owners will send a confirmation invoice and statement. This is the formal acceptance of the booking.

3) The balance of the rent, is payable not less than eight weeks before the start of the rental period. Reservations made within eight weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.

4) The security deposit is £100 payable on arrival.

5) The Client is recommended to arrange travel insurance since no responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage to Clients belongings, motor vehicle or its contents.

6) The arrival time is 4.00 pm. on the first day and the departure time is 10.00 a.m. on the last day.

7) The Client agrees to be considerate, and to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition. The Owners reserve the right to make to cover additional cleaning costs from the security deposit if the Client does not leave the Property in the state they found it on arrival.

8) The Owners shall not be liable to the Client either jointly or severally for:

i. any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the Property or garden.
ii. any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owners.
iii. any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the Property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period, and in such event, the Owners shall within seven days of the notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

9) Only toilet paper is to be placed down the toilets. Small bins are provided beside each WC for other toiletries.

10) Bed linen and tea towels will be provided by the owners.The Client must provide their own towels.

11) Electricity and gas are included within the price.
